The Sears guy was just here and he found out that one of the microprocessors was dead and so the dishwasher's voltage was too low. I asked if I could charge it up with a car battery but apparently they are not AC/DC compatible.

The part will not be available for TEN days! Luckily, the annual "Gourmet East Bay" week starts Sunday. You can get a 3-course dinner for $30 at some of the nicest restaurants around here. Really nice restaurants.

But I really love to cook.
Well, I always wash my pots by hand, so paper plates it is.

I know this post might sound selfish. I never had a dishwasher until I met DH. I am so spoiled now, I know, but once you get used to it is really hard to go back to washing everything. Plus, we are in drought conditions and that dishwasher uses very little water.

One of my concerns with our new washer and dryer is that they are very heavily electronic. If any part of that stuff dies, it won't work at all.

Our old washer and dryer were almost entirely mechanical. Well, the dryer had a dryness sensor, sort of. But I've taken the controller of the washer apart, fixed it, and put it back together before.

I'm not sure this is a good trend.

If you're cooking the supper someone else should wash the dishes. Dishwasher problem solved.
