I actually enjoy racing. Eric's dad races these little F-1 cars that top out at about 120mph. He takes these classes and races it is actually quite fun. THey live up in Alaska, but most of the races are down in Portland, which is about a 3hr drive for us, so we go down there to watch and vist with them.
It's fun, but it is mainly a bunch of middle-aged men
They usually race right after the ventage race, which I like to watch because there is a Spitfire in that race and Eric and I own one. Ours tops out at about 80 though
Its not running right now, Eric needs to fix the clutch on it.

Great photos! My hubby and I love racing of all sorts. When we lived in Florida, we actually went to the 24-hour Rolex race at Daytona (I don't however, suggest trying to sleep in a Camaro...LOL.) and we had such a blast!

I went to Englishtown Raceway in New Jersey a couple of times for the drag racing, and it was absolutely awesome. We've got a couple of places here in Upstate NY that we're itching to check out once the Spring rolls around again.

Hubby and I are also into cars (surprise), too. We actually met because we both had the same kind of car (I had an '82 Monte Carlo and he had an '84 at the time). He was blown away by the fact that I'm one of those girls who likes to grab a wrench and tinker with cars as much as the boys do.

I loved drag racing my Camaro
I cant wait until we FINALLY finish the swap in it (305/T5 --> LS1/T56). We started the swap back when LS1s were the hot stuff in 3rd gen Camaros

We went to the NHRA racing at Englishtown last summer, it was tons of fun

Every now & again we drag race our Integra for fun. Pulled a 10.2 out of it ...... in the 1/8 mile
Thats stock from the factory with 200,000+ miles on it. It's whooped on some people

My brother drag races his Monte Carlo LS with my old 305 in it (with a bit of fine tuning). He's gotten it up to 9.3 in the 1/8th - they're building a 1/4 mile by Lowes Motor Speedway so he'll be heading out to that soon too.
