My reasons for voting for John McCain are these:
1. Life long service to this Country
2. His absolute integrity.
3. His strength in Foreign Policy
4. His promise for a completely transparent administration
5. His promise to not raise taxes on citizens or small business
6. His promise to cut out pork barrel spending
7. His promise to make public any in Congress trying to slip pork in bills.
8. He will keep this nation strong
9. He will keep this nation safe.
10. He will keep the military strong.
11. Energy independence, wind, solar, nuclear, drill, clean coal, NG
I'll add more as I think of them.

I'm writing in Ellen DeGeneres. I think she'd make a lousy President, but she'd make a good Nero. She could dance while Rome burns

IMO, the nation’s future truly hangs in the balance. The new president will be saddled with two wars, a scarred global image and a government stripped of its ability to help its citizens — whether that be natural disasters, affordable health care, or struggling to hold on to their homes, jobs, savings and pensions in the midst of a financial crisis.
Obama is my man!
He has the will and the ability to create the political consensus that is essential to finding solutions to this nation’s problems.
He's a relatively new face in Washington, still unbiased by the politics that goes on there.
He calls for shared sacrifice and social responsibility by the American people.
He is calling for a comprehensive strategy behind renewable energy sources. He understands the huge potential for job growth in these industries.
He has correctly identified the failure of government regulation that has brought the markets to the brink of collapse. He sees that far-reaching reforms will be needed to protect Americans and American business.
He understands the concept of “penny wise and pound foolishâ€. He understands that cutting pork-barrel spending ($18B of a $3T budget) isn’t enough to solve our financial crisis.
He wants to make the nation’s tax structure fairer for the huge majority of U.S. citizens.
He wants to raise the minimum wage and tie it to inflation.
He wants to expand educational opportunities.
He would choose Supreme Court justices based on qualifications, not moral policies.
His health care plan would cover a lot of people that don't have insurance today.
He was an early and thoughtful opponent of the war in Iraq, and he has presented a military and diplomatic plan for withdrawing American forces. He has correctly warned that there will not be enough troops to defeat the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. He understands that the American military is dangerously overstretched.
He would have a learning curve on foreign affairs, but he has shown sound judgment with his choice of Senator Biden — who has deep foreign-policy expertise — as his running mate.
He will work to strengthen alliances in countries around the world. He is committed to mending U.S.’s image in the world and to restore its self-confidence and its self-respect.
He has called for a serious effort to wean Iran from its nuclear ambitions with credible diplomatic overtures and tougher sanctions. He would do this first before taking military action to end Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
Obama has met challenge after challenge, growing as a leader and putting a plan around his early promises of hope and change. He has shown a cool head and sound judgment. He has the qualities for sensible, compassionate, honest and strong leadership.

I was undecided until a few weeks ago. Now I am on the Obama train for several reasons including:
His promise to make health care affordable for everyone including those with pre-existing conditons.
He promises to try to curb medicare perscription costs.
He favors requiring utilities to get a percentage of their energy from renewable sources in the future.
He wants to secure the border, but make illegal immigrations go to the "back of the line" when seeking citizenship.
And of course, I believe he will get us out of Iraq as soon as possible - saving lives and money.
