Gorgeous guitar (and Bijou of course). What a labour of love. That really is a work of art.
Does he actually play it - not too scared to damage it?

He does indeed play them. He usually takes 2 guitars to every gig as each one has it's own sound.

Nice! What sort of music does he play - rock, funk, blues..? I just started playing bass this year and oh, how I love my 70's rock and blues!

He's in 3 bands actually, all part time so some weekends he's pretty busy. In one band he plays country & western, another band is more like the 70's and 80's rock, and the other band is a mix of middle of the road type songs, some country, some rock, some old, some new. He used to be in a blues band but they weren't doing many gigs, just fun for the guys to get together.

Thank you. I'll tell him you said so.

I know I mentioned it in another thread, but he entered his first one in the local wood carving annual show and won the prize for Best of Show. He was pretty proud and excited about that.

That's absolutely beautiful! I can't believe he made that from scratch!
You must be so proud of your talented hubby!

Wow, what a beautiful guitar!
It is breathtaking. If I had a guitar that beautiful, I would make myself learn how to play it.

Thank you for showing it to us!

I told hubby all your wonderful comments. He is indeed very proud of it. Unfortunately the way the light was shining on the guitar when he took the pictures takes away from the actual true finished look.

This was the third guitar he has now completely made from design to build. I think I'm going to need quite a hobby when I retire because he'll be busy building guitars and knowing how fussy and what a perfectionist he is, he will take many hours on each guitar. But, I suppose it's better than having him sitting in a bar drinking.
