Can anyone give me an idea on the downtime after the surgery?
All my pets were spayed/neutered as babies, so I'm completely clueless here.

Baby Cat, the stray that adopted us will hopefully be getting spayed next week.
Her babies will be 8 weeks old Tuesday and they are already weaned, but they are still with her.
We have them all penned up outside as I have no room in the trailer to keep her separate.
My only option is to remove her babies and bring them inside and leave her penned alone for recovery.

Provided she is disease free and Spaz agrees to it, I'll eventually be bringing her in to stay, once these 4 kittens are adopted out.

I have spayed an adult, recovery time was no different than a healthy kitten spay. No problems or issues, it was a very smooth recovery. But my kitty recovered inside the home.
I don't suggest penning anyone outside. Do you have extra space in the bathroom? Maybe you should allow the vet to keep mama cat until recovered.

I live in a 28 foot travel trailer, an RV, I don't have any space in my bathroom

I have had many adults spayed and they have all been fine. Good luck with her, and I hope you can integrate her into the household
