Trying to get a cheap sofa cover to keep the couch from getting shredded by the kitties. Anyone know the best place to get one? It's kind of a weird sofa, it's a 3-seater but only has two long cushions and has a pull out bed. Do I just assume any old sofa cover will fit?

Measure your sofa. Length, width, and the height of the back.
I don't know where you live - but K-mart and Walmart sell some for around $70-80.

I have a sofa with the two big cushions for 3 seats and the surefit ones fit fine, I got a set on ebay for $35 for the sofa and chair - about $70 cheaper than the stores

If I may suggest... you might want to consider a really nice large throw instead, something you can tuck into all the crevices and let hang loose around the sides. I say this because...

1. Slipcovers provide enough resistance to be a satisfying scratching surface for cats, so they quickly end up in shreds.

2. Good quality slipcovers are very expensive, and yet...

3. ...They still seem to look like... slipcovers, y'know? Like an attempt to conceal, rather than merely protect. I feel like a well-chosen throw is more frankly casual and cozy-looking. And cheaper, and easier to wash!

IKEA has some very inexpensive cotton bedspreads of woven cotton in solid colors http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60104330 -- I stitched two of them together down the middle with a flat seam and they cover our sofa quite attractively! And best of all... the kitties don't enjoy scratching it, because it simply pulls up out of the crevices it's tucked into, providing no resistance.

We've also used those stretchy microfiber fleece blankets, but they tend to pill up and shed all over your clothes.

Ah, this might be what I'm looking for. What two did you sew up? The 59" one or the 87" one?

Oh, the slipcover

Mine was a bad idea. It is basically just a sheet you throw over the couch. Thought it was someth9ng more substantial, oh well, it was on sale.

I hate it!!!

10 times a day we have to pull it back up and fix it Do measure your couch well, and maybe have a sover made? Or look online and find a perfect one. I have yet to solve my prob, but maybe it will help you
