While at Petco I was visiting a friend of mine who owns a local animal shelter here and I saw a bunch of Googies dressed up in cute costumes... One goggie was dressed up as Robin Hood and another small goggie was dressed up as a pirate
. Then lo and behold I saw 2 girls carrying kitties in costume
... One kittie was dressed up in a full littie cow costume white with black spots on it and the other kittie was dressed up as a little baby in her little baby costume
. So, are you going to dress up your kitties for Holloween?

ETA: The above animals also had their piccies taken in their costumes for their owners.

I wish places had clothing for cats. But all I have found are clothing for dogs. Why are cats left out?????

I don't believe I have seen (is it googie or goggie) referred to before.

I am clueless. Am I the only one?

Wikipedia seems to think "doggie."

I know that "moggie" is a common term for cats in the UK.

I don't know what a googie or goggy is either!! Glad I am not only one too
. I have some little reindeer antlers for Al, bless him. No costumes though, he wouldn't like it!

It is a (netspeak)term that is used a lot on sites like icanhascheezburger.com

I've never really understood the fun of dressing up animals, sometimes I even feel a bit sorry for dressed up cats in pictures, so no costumes here I'm afraid.

Many years ago I took Wyatt
and Chandler Ray to Petsmart for Santa pictures. The next year I added Sammy
. It was an interesting experience. My best friend and neighbor went along to help. We drew quite a crowd since most people only bring dogs, but what a crowd! And I still have the picture and it still makes me smile (even though it also makes me miss Wyatt and Sammy). I also tried putting little costumes on them once, and once only. They didn't think it was all that cute. I can't even keep a collar on Toby!

Not all cats like to be dressed up at all, but I do have one that loves it. He will come running for his clothes and he purrs while he walks around all proud. The rest show no interest, so I dont dress them.

Zane wouldn't stand for it. He wouldn't stand to be taken for pictures to a place with lots of other cats and dogs, too. He HATES other cats and he HATES dogs. Just taking him to the vet is scary. You wouldn't believe the noises he makes! He GROWLS. If I tried to put a costume on him, I'd draw back a bloody stump. The only way I'd be able to do it would be by using main force, which I won't do for something so trivial.

But hey, if you can get your cat to do it, and you get your jollies that way, go right ahead.

I saw a cat costume with a phone number for the company. I thought about calling them and asking them if they could come out and dress up Pepper. I wouldn't do it without a tranquilizer gun
.

This being Sport's first Halloween, I am going to ATTEMPT, to dress him up as a Vampire. I have a cute little costume for him, that he can destroy after I try to get a few pictures. I'll let you know how it goes..LOL
