Hey everyone
. Don't know if anyone has noticed, but I really haven't been around that much. We have, sadly, decided to take a break from fostering for awhile. We didn't really HAVE to, but it was just time for a break, and it was getting to be overwhelming. We had to find new homes for several of our permanent cats as well, which was really hard but was the best thing for everyone.

We have "only" (
) eight permanent indoor cats now... and one indoor/outdoor cat. The house seems so empty now, but it has been a huge relief honestly. But that's why I haven't been around much. I was feeling really guilty about re-homing the cats that we did.

But anyway, I'm back now and hoping to be around much more again. I've missed you all!

Honestly, if you rehomed the cats to happy homes, why should you feel guilty. Isn't that the idea of fostering? Good to see you back!

Well, a few of those were cats that we had originally planned on keeping permanently. I didn't feel guilty about re-homing the fosters, that was a very good thing! But I felt guilty about re-homing the ones that were ours.

Glad your back

Please don't feel guilty about re-homing. You made a decision that was best for the kitties. It is hard, but it is in their best interests.

You have to remember those kitties would most likely not be alive today if you and John hadn't taken them in. They are not on the streets, but in good homes.
