Hi all,

I was given 3 two week old kittens on Saturday. They were rescued from under a friends porch. With the combined effort of my sister and 2 neices, we have been feeding every few hours around the clock with KMR, and these guys are doing GREAT! Between the food and warmth they are vigorous little babies, crying when hungry, crawling everywhere! I can get them to pee ALOT with stimulation before/after feeds, and my sister got 1 of them to poop last night.....but the other 2 haven't since at least Saturday! I don't want to irritate their little parts, but it worries me that the other 2 haven't pooped yet! Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Every kitty is different , but I would call your vet's office to get some advice. My baby had trouble and we had to take him in a couple of times for an flush
Bless you, Sis and your nieces! It's a family effort!
Welcome to TCS ! I hope you can post pictures of them!

Our little guy only pooped every 3 days when we first got him at 3 weeks, i took him in to the vet and they told not to be really concerned until 5 days. (new home, new food, can change up the pooping schedule). I got our guy to go was on day 4 when running warm water on his little bottom for a few minutes. Now he is an every day pooper at 5 weeks old. but always call the vet if you are concerned. No question is a stupid one!!!

you are doing the stimulation with a piece of semiwet cloth? belly and the behind?

The cloth moistured with lukewarm/warm water?

(like the mothers tongue)

Thanks for all the good advice! I did get the 2 non-poopers to go last night! One kitty seems to have a distended belly, and passed some pretty hard stool so I am diluting the KMR a little more. I also did gentle massage on her belly as well. She was a little tired after all the attention, but I think she felt better!
