Is this considered a premonition?

This morning I had a dream that I was at my old job and a guy was using a forklift to pick up a skid of flattened boxes. A bunch of boxes ended up sliding off the skid and onto the floor. (end of dream) Today I was down in the basement going through a box full of papers and folders and when I went to set the box back on the table I dropped it and everything spilled out onto the floor. Anyone see the connection?

Difficult to say, but it could be a coincidence. When I have glimpses of future things it is when I'm awake, and they are usually about significant things (like a future place I will be living in or my own death). But maybe it's different for you.

Has this type of thing happened to you before?

Yes several times. Usually about insignificant things though. Once I was dreaming that it was storming and the power went out. My Mom came in and woke me up for something and not a minute later the power really did go out.

I would say coincidence. You just dropped something, and are trying to connect it to the dream because it's fresh in your mind.

And the time you dreamt that the power went out - maybe you heard things resetting without realising, and you subconscious worked it into your dream?

I know I'll be dreaming about being annoyed about a noise, then wake up only to realise the noise is actually real.
