friends of my daughter foster kittens for a person in Dorset. apparently there is a huge feral cat problem there and she has been taking in kittens and socialising them.

my daughter has fallen in love with a little tabby girl who looks remarkably like ladyeetania's sparkle. (now anyone who goes on sparkle's threads will know that i am a huge fan of this gorgeous little tabby)

so, my daughter came home on Friday and although she has been dropping massive hints about this kitty she asked outright if we could have her.

my husband, who adores all our pets but had none until he met me 3 years ago, said yes straight away!

so, coco, as she has been christened, should be coming home in the next few days. she was spayed last thursday so i think she should recover before meeting tabitha and the boys.

she's 5 months old and from what my daughter tells me, very sweet and cuddly. i'm meeting her for the first time later today!

well i met little coco last night and i think she has cat flu. her little eyes are really gunky although she wasn't squinting like shinobi did when he had it.

the people fostering her said she has been fine and it was after coming back from the vets on friday (when she was spayed) that her eyes started to go.

she is going back to the vets today and they will let me know how she got on. she is so tiny and bless her heart, when i stroked her she purred like a little steam train.

here she is. you can just see her poorly eyes.

and this is with her brother who the family are keeping.

and in this one you can see her stitches which all look to be healing well.

she really is a sweet little thing and it's heartbreaking to see her looking so miserable.

my comfort is that shinobi was very poorly too with conjunctivitus (linked to cat flu) when i first got him, and it did clear up really quickly with the eye drops. poor little mite, i just want to make it all better for her.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Awwwww bless her little heart
She'll probably be feeling down in the dumps as well just after her spay so that won't help

She is tiny, but she looks a little beauty

Lots of mega healthy healing coming for Coco

I'm wearing Coco this morning as well
I'll move her into fur pics

thanks for the vibes everyone, they seemed to have worked!

she was fine by yesterday morning and the vet said she is doing well but must have been a bit low after the spaying.

my daughter saw her last night and played with her for a while before little coco fell asleep on her lap.

all being well she should come home early next week!

thank you for all the healing vibes, they continue to do their job!

just a small update. saw coco yesterday and she looked so much better.
her eyes still have a slight discharge but it's no where near as bad as it was.

she looked a lot brighter and when i held her she snuggled into me.

looks like we'll be picking her up on Monday evening so plenty of pics to follow!

so little coco has spent her second night with us.
i let her have the run of the house the first night but on observing her behaviour and seeking advice from the feral forum, i realised that we are dealing with a whole new situation here!

so, coco plus bed, litter box, toys, food and water moved into my daughters room. (as you can imagine, my daughter is delighted!
)

coco immediately seemed happier to know all her things were together and she used her tray and had some food straight away.

she does need so much patience as she'll flatten herself against the floor when you approach her and then hiss at you.

but she does let us pick her up and after a couple of minutes of stroking, she becomes this total love muffin! lots and lots of purrs and headbutts, she can't get enough!

so here are some (not brilliant as she moves so much!) pics of coco.

showing her lovely markings.

getting sleepy now!
