Hello everyone! It's still morning here, so good morning all.

Let's see, I'm happy to report that my kitties are feeling much better. Thomas and Arutha had a slight eye infection, but I gave them some eye ointment twice a day this week, and it's pretty much all cleared up. They seem to get this from time to time, and I think that it's because they were sick when I got them from the shelter, and the virus is latent. Pug had a claw that somehow got split, and looked painful. We got it all cleaned up, and it seems to be fine now.
My throat isn't as sore as it was, so the good thoughts must have helped (thanks!
).

What's going on with everyone else?

For some reason I keep thinking it's Wednesday! LOL Going to make for a short week I guess.

Work has been beyond dead this week, so I'm mainly working on personal projects. I should be happy that I am allowed to do this when I'm this slow, but at the same time I feel guilty about getting paid to do personal, non-business related stuff. Sometimes I think I'm too honest.

Got my computer upgraded yesterday, mostly anyway (still have to transfer all my data to a new hard drive, but that can wait). The parts we ordered came in so now I'm FLYING at home! Wish I could say the same thing about the work computer, but I guess I don't use it as hard as I do my home computer.

Ack! What a day! I am going to be so busy for the next 3-4 weeks. Next week I have to organize a training package and testing for potential unit members. Then I have to conduct training and coaching from May 5 to the 30th! I will be so busy that I am going to have to try to get online more often at home!

I am really looking forward to this weekend! Friday night I have tickects to see the Stars on Ice - Heavy Metal tour. and Saturday I have tickets to the semi-final game of lacrosse against the Colorado Mammoth! Should be fun! GO ROCK GO!

Working on an article for CWSI right now. Just got in some pictures from the shelter of injured cats. Some of the injuries are simply dreadful, but all kitties are fine now. One cat got caught- or was shoved into a glass bottle!
She has a glass collar around her neck, and the pictures show the process they went through to remove it without injuring her further.

Also working on an article about allergies, asthma and litter clay- hence my nosey questions in the other posting. I know what the medical field has to say about it, I wanted cat owners who suffer from it, I wanted their opinions.

Entered a writing contest yesterday as well. I won't know till October if I even came close and it isn't the type of contest that is available to look at the entries on the Internet. It was nerve-wracking for me to enter it- just trying to get through all the rules and regs.

Other than that, it is raining here and the horses are playing in the new lake in the pasture. All the cats are fine and I need to get back to work. Everyone have a good day!

Movin' on up!
The usual, here - dogs sprawled in the sun and cats draped about the house.

Opie is acting weird (for him), lately. He has suddenly become more affectionate - doing a lot of lap-sitting and talking to us. I've begun playing a new computer game and he sits on my lap and "coaches". Last night, he even let Mark scratch his ears. Usually, when we have company, he dives under the bed. I don't think that he's getting senile - he's only 4. Its just a radical personality change for him. He's always been so aloof. Go figure out a cat!

BTW: DragonLady, once you get that room painted, you might want to upholster the walls. With what you've been going through, it sounds as though you're just about ready for a padded room!

Today was a heartbreaking day. One of my co-worker Jan's brother passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. Today was his funeral and I felt obligated to attend even though I did not know him. I don't think I've cried that much in a very long time! The part that really stuck home (Jeesh...I'm tearing up again!) was when I first seen Jan. She gave me the biggest hug and whispered in my ear "Honey, please go home tonight and hug your brother. You'll never know when they will leave you.". It really hit me like a ton of bricks. It's so true though.
Everyone...please don't hesitate to call your family or when you see them...tell them you love them and give them a hug. You never know if that might be the last time you get the chance!
