I've been job hunting for a while now, with no luck. I've heard "we gave it to someone else" so many times now and the one guy that I was counting on decided he didnt really want to hire anyone else because of the economy. So I had an interview this morning, which I scheduled last Monday (the 6th) and they didnt get me in until today. So in to town I go, 40 miles one way, get there, watch the little video on what my job would be, the guy is interviewing me and asks me what shift I want so I say well I wanted second but they said it was full so I'll take first. And he says "Well actually both shifts are full" I could've cried. Anyhow, Im hired, sort of. I got a picture taken, heath screen, etc etc and they'll call me if other people dont show up, but who knows where I am on that list since everyone else that was waiting for an interview with me was hired sort of too. It's too bad, good pay, bad hours and it was only seasonal, but overtime is possible and it would be nice to pay the heat bill and the food bill this winter. I guess I'll keep hoping while I look for another job. Sigh. Just thought I'd share
One good note I guess is that the nurse said my blood pressure was excellent and I had a good grip (although my left hand grip was stronger than my right by five points, which I thought was odd because I'm right handed.)
