The "Look what I received from my Secret Santa" Thread - 2008

I GOT MINE TODAY, I GOT MINE TODAY!!!

I'm so excited!! I am at work now and haven't been able to sign on really for months now and I miss you all a lot (darn work!), but I had to sign on to let you all know I GOT IT!!

To my SS: I don't even know what's inside yet, but THANK YOU!!!

...and I hope my recepient gets it on time! It's FedExed off, supposed to get there on Dec 22 (I wanted it close, but at least a little early, we'll see how I did...). Now I'm all excited I got mine, I almost feel bad making my recepient wait!

First the outside of the box

Inside was this lovely snowman box

Inside I found a book and fuzzy sox and a sign and a gorgeous burn-out velvet scarf in my fave color.

There was chocolate! Yes, the TimTams are missing 3. Two for me and one I shared with great niece Melanie. (She fetched the box in for me.

) I also gave her a truffle.

The piece de resistance (IMHO) a personalized embroidered throw.
It says "Cats and Chocolate. Two of Meowmy's favorite things"
Note the detailed kitties!

Under and around the snowman box were goodies for the brats.

They included items from Auntie Em. They are nipped out right now on catnip pillows from another friend so I will hold on to these until needed.

Or they find them on their own.

Anyways...

The last thing I opened was this adorable pop-up card.

I was a good girl and followed instructions.



So, with confirmation, the wreath, Hershey's gift box and last box of goodies came from Eva/Snosrap5!

And the contents of the bottom box - minus all the peanut butter cups. No, I did not eat them all. I had help from the great nieces and nephews.

I think my favorite thing was the card. Who could ever imagine finding a card with 11 cats on the inside.

Oops one more thing. I couldn't remember that it was fluffybutts not fuzzybutts so that was the only oops.

I'm always in Books A Million and they were putting out their Christmas stock back at the beginning of November and I came across it. I didn't realize at the time that there were 11 cats on the inside. I actually think over all there are 14 or 15 cats total inside and outside the card.

There is even one behind the Christmas tree inside the back of the card.

So (thanks to a big hint from my SS) I figured out who she was! We're the two that were paired together!! I guess I was so excited about my Elvis mug (and everything else) that I misread the punctuation in the card and mistook Brooke for the name of my person, when it was the name of her dog

It was pretty funny watching in the corner and seeing a cat trying her hardest to get into those treats and catnip too LOL.

The cats are loving their new toys. Namine keeps going crazy over those brown and white toys, while Kairi is going nuts over the catnip mice. Namine is carrying her toys and meowing all over the apartment.

I'm trying real hard not to eat all the chocolate at once. I'm limiting myself to one serving a day. I want to make it last, and not ruin my diet.

I would've had to wrap it first too. I got my friend some Lindt truffles for a care package and didn't send it for a week, but I had to go back to the store to get more cause I ate them all.

Dear Secret Santa recipient

I mailed your package today. I waited until the last possible moment, because I didn't want you to be too tempted by the dark side!

When they asked me at the Post Office, if there was any hazardous materials in the package.....I really had to think about that! All that chocolate could be hazardous, if eaten at one sitting. Not to worry...I know you'll exercise some restraint. (Yeah, right! Neither would I!)

So I came home yesterday to find a delivery notice in my mailbox (I live in an apartment). I trudged through the rain/snow we had going on at the time to the post office to pick up my package. Now, being one of the organizers my SS was a not-so-secret one; even more so since she was one of the organizers too!! Yep, my "SS" was Kelly (clixpix)!! She signed the card "from your not-even-a-little-bit secret santa!"

Anyway... on to the goods!!

All the pressies wrapped up



First thing I opened were the kitties gifts. She made each of them a catnip mat!! Each mat has a bird attached to it; too cute!



The kitties LOVE them!!











They also got some catnip toys. I just love the skeletons on them!!



Onto the human stuff!!

Not only did she make the catnip mats, but she also made an apron and bag caddy. You're talented Kelly!!

The rest of the "goods"!



Let's see, there are slippers, cute holiday socks, a tin of fudge that is oh so yummy!, a foot spa kit, 2 Metha Lip Tint (I love this stuff!), Black Amethyst shower gel, Savannah Bee Company hand soap, a cute kitty mug, kitty book and mouse pad, candle, notepad and pencil, and some cute Christmas decorations.

Check out the tree!



and the mug... I can see some hot apple cider in my future, using this!
