MY 3 y.o. healthy until now cat took her collar off this morning (does occasionally so we give her a little break). I was scratching her neck/back of head and noticed tiny bumps. We held her still and I saw little scabs, about a quarter (the coin, not a quarter or her head) sized area under her fur has these tiny little scabs, and little red (blood?) scabs coming off the skin. She did not notice me touching them and they were coming off with little touch or pressure (I wasn't pulling them, just as I was holing hair aside they were coming off on my fingers). She didn't cry or seem to notice I was even touching them, and she doesn't have fleas.
She is an indoor only cat. I am calling her vet first thing Monday but cannot find anything like her scabs in a google search. Any ideas?

Speck once had folliculitis that developed a secondary staph infection. It started with tiny bumps that felt like warts on his neck.

Pixel's herpes manifests in little sores on her face - which will spread to her front paws if i don't catch on in time that she's having a flare-up.
