I started having a weird problem on one of the computers that I use and I thought I'd ask for help here since there are so many tech savvy people.

I have access to three computers, all of which have Windows 2000 Pro and IE 6. One of them is no longer displaying the photobucket pages properly, and unfortunately it's the one where I have all my videos and pictures. I cannot upload to photobucket anymore from that PC.

I'm attaching a link to the screenshot.

Is it a corrupted file, bad java installation, or what? Any ideas?

Are you sure you're logged in at Photobucket on that computer? For some reason, it'll sometimes make you log in although you haven't logged out. Maybe it's the browser. Photobucket told me they were geared to Firefox, not IE.

It should display the home page whether I am logged in or not.
I tried posting to their help forum and their answer was that a lot of Win 2k users were reporting problems and they were surprised that I could upload anything from the other PCs.
They are not willing to help troubleshoot as their attitude is that if MS isn't supporting Win 2k, why should they. I think they could stand to change the FAQ that says they support Win 2k and MSIE 6, but hey, they can do what they want.
I'm looking for a new photo hosting site now. I'm getting a little tired of hooking a USB flash drive up to move pics from the downstairs computer to the upstairs computer so I can upload to photobucket.

My impression is that they'll bend over backwards if you have a Pro account (and let them know that you do), but otherwise could care less.

I did a search for something that could help you and came across your post to them, they certainly do not seem to care.

If it works on your other computer

1. I would try a reinstall of IE (or firefox) and see if that helps - it might be something buggy on just that one, also check virus settings to see if for some reason it blacklisted photobucket etc
2. If you have wireless networks to give all the computers internet, how about sharing the folder so you don't have to move them all to a USB key.

As for switching, I recommend flickr but there are lots of new free sites, just visit them to see what works for you.

Thanks icklemiss, I tried the re-install with no luck. We are on a LAN network and my images and videos are all in subfolders of a "My Documents" under "Documents and Settings" so for some reason sharing seems to be a pain. I think the solutions are to tough it out until we can replace the downstairs computer (which I was going to do anyway) or find another photo sharing site. All but tinypic seem to work, tinypic has the same problem as photobucket.
