How fast can you type?

Natalie_ca's thread got me to wondering how fast I can type. "Back in the day" I could type around 70wpm, and even though I get a lot of practice here, I knew I wasn't as fast as I used to be. I took an online typing test, and I scored 58wpm. The test adjusts for mistakes (I didn't have any).

Take the test, and tell us (and be honest!) how fast you can type. If you try again later, and improve your score, tell us!

Once I realized that they have only one space between sentences (which I kept messing up, and slowed down to correct), I did much better! My last score was 78wpm! Now I must stop taking typing tests.

63 wpm with 3 errors. I was always taught for proper typing that your leave 2 spaces between sentences not just one so I had to keep back spacing.

60 wpm with no errors.

Had to do the test a couple of times before I saw the box to check for 2 spaces after a period. My time got faster then because I didn't have to keep back-spacing to correct it.

gee just think how fast i could type if i used more then five fingers.

58 wpm, no errors. I'm actually faster on a regular keyboard, to me is harder on a laptop!

I average 30wpm with 1-2 errors. I am curious what this tests says tho. BRB.

My fingers will drop off if i keep taking the test lol!! so addictive , i love not looking whilst i type my fave skill i think!

I've taken it three times. The first one I got an 81, second a 88, and the third one a 91. The first two my fiance was looking over my shoulder and I can't type well when someone is watching what I do.

ETA: I just took it again and got 104 wpm with no errors.

I got 46 (no errors) but I had a puppy trying to grab my fingers as I typed...so pretty good I guess, when taken from that perspective...Hahaha!
