Ideally, I would like to switch all my cats to a raw diet, but right now I'm focusing on getting my ferrets on a raw/whole prey diet. But in the mean time I want to make sure my fur kids are getting the nutrition they need.

Currently, they are eating Nutro Indoor Formula Dry Kibble. They like it but I'm just wanting to make sure its a good food. Also, all my cats have dandruff, but mostly just Miki, my 3-year old (almost 3. She'll be 3 in November). I remember a long time ago when we had our dog, that my mom would put 1 raw egg in his food once a week and his dandruff got better. Does this work for cats? Is it safe? Is there something else I can do for the dandruff and shedding?

I no longer advise raw eggs because of the high bacteria risk... salmon oil?? I would switch them to the non indoor natural choice and see if that helps ... the soy can cause inflamation issues and allergies in many cats

Would adding any kind of oils help? There is someone on a holistic ferret forum who has experience with feeding cats raw (her cats are on a raw/whole prey diet) and she said that she'd help me in switching my three over to raw. When I was giving the ferrets some raw chicken, Ramman butted in and demanded pieces of chicken. Then when dinner time came for the ferrets, I tried giving them raw beef. Whatever the ferrets did not take away to hide, Ramman inhaled, so I don't think there will be too much trouble switching him over. He'll eat anything you put in front of him.
