My cat has been being such an oddball! The past 3 nights when my fiance lays down to watch a movie, she will lay next to his chest, facing away from him, and caress his face with her tail. The first time she did it, I thought it was just a conicidence, and she wasn't meaning to do it, but she's done it quite a few times since. She'll wrap her tail around the side of his jaw, and pet it, she'll stroke his cheek bones, and rub the tip of her tail under his nose. It's really, really awfully cute.

I'm convinced Sterling does the same thing with Ella, just to tempt her to play.

I wish i had this problem. Madonna likes to climb onto my chest, facing down, and slapping me repeatedly. And I mean as hard as she can.

We're pretty well convinced that Tailer and his tail are two separate entities. We assume this based on the tail's propensity for taunting Tailer. He'll just be lying there minding his own business and the tail will swing around and start smacking him in the face for no good reason. Of course, eventually Tailer gets tired of this and has to put a stop to it by chasing his tail around the room.

Since he was a wee little kitten Forrest has had a condition that we call "uncontrollable tail".

Whenever a bird or squirrel is outside the window he will sit on the window sill and chatter. Unfortunately he has absolutely no control of his tail. It wildly flails every which direction and usually ends up repeatedly whacking against the window rather loudly frightening whatever prey he is watching away. It really seems to confuse him.

Poor baby then gets annoyed with that "thing" that keeps moving and hitting the window and tries to attack it over and over.

Good thing food comes in a bowl cause I'm not sure how well he'd do outside trying to catch his own.
