lthanks i know what bb gun is,
i was asking if that was what they called them in the UK since i had never heard them called a gas-powered ball-bearing pistol

No we call them bb guns as well. Their just using the fancy word for the stupid things.

lol well i had asked are IT people in the UK , and they said What not sure what they mean.

one person said it sounded like a home made gun, lol so that is why i asked,

They just gave it a fancy name to make it sound like he was shot with an actual gun.

I think my granddad has that t-shirt

I provided the link because it mentioned that some people thought BB referred to ball bearings, rather than the size of the buckshot.

Maybe they were actually referring to a "souped-up" softair gun.
