Or do you take them off to sleep, shower, do dishes, etc.?

I never really wear jewelry, so I have no idea how to care for it. I only wear my engagement ring, which is a semi-eternity band. I've been showering and sleeping with it on, but I have no idea if it's bad for the ring.

I wear my rings 24/7 except for when Im going swimming because chlorine is bad on the prongs that hold the diamond in. When I go swimming at the beach or somewhere I always use the safe in the room to store my jewelry in. Or if Im home I leave it in the jewelry box.

I have seven rings that I wear all the time. I take them off when I wash my hair, though, as I don't like them catching or want to risk them sliding off as I run my fingers through my hair.

I don't wear rings because of my job (surgical assistant.) When I was married, I always wore my wedding rings and took them off every time I had to scrub. I left them in my scrubs once, and tossed them in the dirty laundry, but an honest laundry worker actually returned them to me!

I have one ring that I wear all the time. My sister has one that is just like it and we bought them together. She also has hers on all the time. I take it off when i shower or do dishes because I don't want to loose them down the drain. I feel really naked when I don't have my ring on. It is the only jewerly that I wear every day.

Surprise!!!
I wear my wedding band and engagement band always. The only time I remove them is when I make food that could get stuck in my diamond. Then I just put it back on after washing my hands. Same with my husband. Never seen him remove his either.

I wear my wedding band/engagement ring all the time but I do take it off when I shower. I guess I'm afraid of it coming off and going down the drain somehow. Also, if I'm cooking (which is rare!) something messy I will take it off too.

I also wear diamond studs that I leave in all the time.

I wear my wedding and engagement ring 24/7 - I feel naked without them! The only time I take them off is if I've had surgery. I know if I take them off to do the dishes, shower etc. I'll forget them, or knock them down the drain or something!

You have probably heard a lot of "lines" that men have for not wearing their ring, but here is mine and it is true. DW bought me a most unusual ring and I never took it off for anything. Then I lost fifty pounds (which I have kept off) and it got to the point if I swung my hand to point in a direction, it would come flying off, at times it was quite hard to find. DW told me it would be better to put up the ring for a while (until I gained the weight back?) and then have it resized if necessary. That's my line and a pretty good one now that the Texas sun has taken care of the "tell tale" white band there used to be on my ring finger.

I take mine off to shower (my hair tends to get tangled in everything...and the rings are no exception) and when I bake (ever try to get pie dough out of a diamond setting
).

I wear 3 rings on a daily basis. I take them off when I get home because from the weight I've lost, they are really loose now. I have a "fake" engagement ring I wear to work, which is cubic zirconia, because I work a lot with my hands and would most likely damage my real engagement ring. On the weekends, I wear my real one, and only take it off if I'm sleeping, showering, or doing dishes. I put it in it's ring box, and put that in my jewlery chest, so I don't lose it. It's my grandfather's diamond, so I'm paranoid that the diamond will fall off of it and I'll lose it.

I take my engagement ring off when I shower and do dishes. And that's only because when I get my finger wet the ring slips slowly off and I don't want to loose it. I get it cleaned about 4-5 times a year and if needed; so it still is in tip top condition. I don't think I could bare to be away from it for long!!

I used to wear rings all of the time with the exception of when I went to bed. I always took off all of my jewellery before sleeping.

However, when I went to nursing school we weren't allowed to wear jewellery of any kind, not even earrings. Well, we could wear a watch. So after 2 years of that I got away from wearing jewellery and now the only thing I wear is a watch and I take that off as soon as I get home. But I haven't worn rings for over 14 years. And I haven't worn earrings in about 8 years.

My fingers/joints swell overnight, so I do not wear rings to sleep. Also, it is difficult to put rings on first thing in the morning.

I rarely ever wear my wedding ring. My hubby doesn't wear his much either, but he wears his more than I wear mine. I am a welder and so is he and it is not good to wear rings in that profession but some people do anyway.
