I ordered a book from Amazon, and they gave me a tracking number when they shipped. I saw on Saturday night that the package had been delivered earlier that day, but no one was home to pick it up.
I came home today, found the delivery slip in my mailbox saying my package was in the leasing office, went to collect it... and guess what? No book.
One of the apartment managers/leasing people said they had closed the office early on Saturday, before the mail person came around.

So I'm not really sure where my package is now. I have a slip from the post office saying that it's been delivered to the managers, and the managers telling me that they didn't receive it.
I called USPS and they said that it probably went back to my local post office and will sit there for 15 days until I either pick it up or have them re-deliver it. So I scheduled a re-delivery for tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

OK, I feel better after complaining.

Oh dear..... It might get sent back to the sender. That has happened to me before and luckily the shipper was nice enough to send it again.

I think it's called "Physical Properties of Crystals" and it's about crystal structure and mechanics. It's a textbook.

This morning, I'm thinking maybe they can keep the book.

I'm extremely angry.
I have my package. The postman found it in the manager's office.

Apparently, the management people lied about being in the office until 3PM. They took an early day, so when they mailperson left my package in their office, they didn't see him come in.

On Monday, Tuesday, and today I asked them to check their new mail for it, and they said it hadn't come in.
Guess where the postman found my package?
In the new mail.

I am going to complain to the company that the leasing people leave early and didn't look in their newly arrived packages for 3 days.
