Why is it when DH buys me a candy bar, if I don't woof it down in one sitting, he ends up eating most of it himself?
I mean he buys it for ME but somehow I never get the whole thing. Why doesn't he get his own? I don't mind sharing but he does this all the time and it gets rather annoying.

Mine does that too. The solution - Two candy bars for him and one for me.
I eat some of mine and stash it away on my desk, he doesn't like poking around on my desk as things are likely to topple over at any moment.

Same here lol! I usually will ask DH if he minds me finishing it first though.

LOL the joys of being single, I don't have to share my chocolate with anyone. Although while I was asleep my niece stole almost a whole box of my soft baked chocolate chip cookies. I don't mind her having cookies but did she really have to get the whole bag. Although when I do become involved I will warn that person my chocolate is mine not anyone else's but if they ask nice I will buy them some too.
And I will try my very best not to steal it all.

Ahhh the joys of being a single gal!
I don't have to share my sweet treats with anyone but me, myself and I!

I know the other evening I had a huge bar of choccie in the fridge, and I went to have a piece to find that someone had taken a chunk off of it
I asked my mum if she knew...her reply was "Ask your father!" Sheesh! Parents.....

OK, let me 'splain you this.

The guy is following the old rule of gift giving: Buy something for the one you love that you would like to have yourself.

Then, the one you love rejects part of the gift. So, now you get what you wanted, with no guilt.

Don't want us to eat it? Then it yourself, with great gusto, in our presence. Problem solved.

Interesting. DW always serves me double what I can eat at dinnertime. Then when I only eat half, she says "no sense in wasting food" and finishes it off for me.

Oi, men! mrblanche has it right, that's how men give gifts!

Except, my husband puts even another twist on it. If he buys something for me, say, M&Ms, he always buys something for him, too, say trail mix. He gets what he wants, and yet when I'm sitting there eating mine, he'll still eat it WHILE I'M EATING IT! Psh.

Since he knows most of the time I don't like what he got for him, I think his logic is "I'll eat part of hers and when it's done, all of mine since she won't want any, and I'll get even more!"

Of course, I use that logic back on him when I can.

Chances are he never looks inside the laundry hamper!
I find that an empty box of "feminine hygiene products" is the ideal place to stash almost anything. I guarantee they NEVER look in there!
