There's a big difference between recycling and reusing.

If I place my plastic water bottle in the recycle bin and it's sterilized, melted down and remade into another plastic product, that's recycling. If I simply rinse it out and use it again, I'm reusing.

Believe it or not, I read on another forum that this thing about the hair bands in China is being Racist towards the Chinese.

Just to point out-- the recycled condoms are not used. They are the 'reject' ones from the factory, as in, they never made it to the shelves. I don't see what the fuss is about. Who knows how much of our pre-consumer recycled product is from similar items, just melted down first.
