I was in a shoe store with my daughter the other day. We were trying to make our way to the boots which were against a wall, but the display was blocked by ladders against the wall (and other island displays).

While I was trying to peer past the ladder to see the boots, a female employee pushed past me and went up the ladder. She had on a micro-mini dress, high boots, and bare thighs. I knew because the top of her thighs were about two feet from my face.

I kept averting my eyes, but as she reached way up for, I guess, a box of shoes, her skirt hiked up to places where I was very embarrassed for her, but I looked away just in time.

My ten year-old behind me, however, has much more curiosity than modesty, and she watched the whole show with great interest. She announced later that the lady was not wearing any underwear.

Let's just stay if I were the kind of person to snap a photo of something like that, I couldn't have posted it here.

It's amazing how often that happens. I was walking past a shop that always has fascinating, cute little dresses that I would never wear. Just as I peered in, a shop assistant did the same thing - up a ladder in a mini, stretched up, and showed me way more than I needed to see.

And we went to a party of friends of my aunt while we were on holiday, and one of the ladies has a killer body and so likes to show it off and was wearing a little red dress. Her phone had started ringing and we didn't know who it belonged to, so everyone was looking in that direction to see whose it was, and she just bent right over from the waist, and showed everyone her knickers. Not only that, but they were saggy, baggy, old looking grey knickers

I remember that I started wearing longer skirts when I started my first job in high school. I had to do a lot of filing and short skirts were extremely inconvenient.

I guess modesty isn't a big deal for these women.

I think it was in this month's issue of In Style magazine that 24-25% of survey respondents do not wear underwear.

Some women have no decency.

That's not only disgusting, but also just plain STUPID! On so many levels!

I know I'm old-fashioned, but... doesn't anybody care to reserve some degree of intimacy solely for a lover anymore?

DH and I were walking on the sidewalk across the street from the beach/marina in Santa Barbara. There are a lot of hotels there. One hotel has the pool and jacuzzi right by the sidewalk in view of the beach. There was a guy that was in the jacuzzi completely naked! I know this because he was just getting out of it and I saw everything! And I mean EVERYTHING!! Being young at the time, I stopped to watch!
DH kept walking until he noticed I wasn't beside him and turned around. I was just standing there by the glass partition watching him..

Maybe I'm just an old-fashioned grandma, but that's just plain wrong! I sure hope my granddaughter isn't one of the "modern" breed when she grows up!

Maybe the woman thinks she's Sharon Stone or something..

That's completely inappropriate for a work environment, especially one where there are children around. I would speak to the manager about her attire, or lack there of.

I guess self respect is lacking nowadays. But I know that when you dress like that noone else respects you either. And women wonder why so many men use them well if you dress like that I guess they assume you are selling and they get what they want and are gone. I know a girl who dresses like that and I can't stand to be around her. We used to be friends and she used to hate it when I would tell her to put her clothes on. she would have clothes on but they would be so revealing that she might as well not have them on. Her boyfriend who is still my friend would say he didn't mind but yet he was always worried about her cheating. Which she eventually did, but anyway there is something to be said for someone who does not respect herself enough to dress and act descently

when the store manger yelled at me to stop, She would get it.

so up the ladder she went. in a mini, and no underwear, and me without a camera.

How come I never got to see anything like that when I was in B.C.?

My husband always misses this kind of stuff too; I have to point it out to him, lol. But a homeless woman did flash him her breasts a couple of years ago.

Uh oh. Now you've gone and encouraged me.

I love writing about weird everyday life experiences. You are all very kind to read them.
