I feed the cats free on the Nutro Max Kitten Gourmet. They really like it. But once a day, every day I give them one can (split between them) of Sheba Premium. All of a sudden, after months of loving this, they simply stopped eating it. Completely!

Should I check for a problem with the cats or is this normal?

Hennessy goes off his wet periodically. Sometimes a flavor change helps... often times I just stop offering for a day or two and he wants it again.

Normal, I find that some cats get bored with certain wet foods. Switch to a different one, that may help.

I feed alot of differnt wet foods, and they love almost all of them and always eat. You shouldnt change dry food too fast, but for some reason wet is kinda the exception. Maybe try a pet food store brand too to switch ity up? Nutro naturals wet is easy to find.

It is odd that you should mention this. Yesterday I gave Alley some moist treats for letting me brush her. I had never done this, ever before. Last night when we came home we found that "somebody" had thrown up on the stairs. I knew instantly who it was. My cats also free feed 24/7 on dry food but I give Persi all that he can beg for at meals. I never give Alley anything, not because I am mean, but because she absolutely never wants anything else. Yesterday I announced with happiness that Alley had actually ate those treats. I did not at the time know what I was going to find as a result.

Yes Sophie is my fuss pot. She ate one of the wet foods i give them for ages, then one day she sniffed at it, then walked away. You'd have thought i'd given her one of the cheapest brands on the market the way she slowly turned away in what i can only describe as disgust!

haha. I know that feeling. I remember putting some other stuff I tried out there. The cats got all excited as I put it on the plate, then all giddy as I walked to the other room to put it down, then they smell it and look at me like "What? are you stupid" which of course made me feel guilty

I think it may be that they simply get bored with the same food over and over ( can't really blame them!!wouldn't you??)lol well anyway I had the same problem with mine and figured out that when I rotate (I go between merrick, wellness, blue spa selects and evo) and they do great!never have a problem with them turning it down!
