I recently moved to a new house, and everything seemed to be getting better and better with Gorilla. We kept her mostly in our bedroom, and she seemed just fine, and then the day before last she pooped on the bed! She's never POOPED outside of her box before. We noticed that the way to her box had been blocked, so maybe that's why she had done it, but then the next night she peed on the bed! Her litterbox was out in the open, and clean as always.
I am going out of my mind. We just recently had her treated for a uti, and we don't have the money to take her in again so soon. If it is a UTI, then we really can't do much right now, and honestly, if she keeps getting them like this, we won't be able to afford to keep her. If it's a behavioral issue, then it's even worse.
I thought maybe it might have been that the first uti just didn't go away, but she was using her box regularly for atleast a few weeks after we had her treated.
I'm running out of ideas.

Have you tried putting it in the litter box and showing her. I know you said that you've tried everything....but if you have not tried this, it usually works
. Sometimes it takes a while. I have had friends that it took a few weeks, but the cat eventually got the hint. If it is just defiance because the change of scenery is unsettling (I just moved as well), she will hopefully eventually realize that if you are good enough to use the litter tray, than so is she. Best of luck to you.

She seems to use her box the majority of the time. She always goes #2 in it, and it seems like she's peeing in there regularly too, so it's not like she doesn't know to use it. I put her in the box sometimes and show her to remind her, but I really doubt her problem is forgetting.
Maybe it is just the move.

I just woke up and she had peed on the blanket again! While I was in the bed. This is getting out of hand.

i have to say - the only time mine have ever peed on the bed is when there was a UTI...

It's probably the same UTI that hasn't gone away. While she was being treated she feltbetter, so didn't see the litter box as a bad thing. Now that its inflamed again, she is going outside the box. Please take your cat tothe vet, it's very unfair to make her suffer through a UTI. I've had them and they are excruciating.

Oh tell me about it. I've had quite a few myself.
We took her in, and she doesn't have one, but I'm keeping her on urinary supplements to avoid any problems in the future.
