On a day when I am feeling pretty down (see Bridge) I do at least have good news. The vet came today to vaccinate the ponies and while he was here he had another look at Ginger's toes. He thinks there is no need to amputate them, though the foot is still a little swollen and the fractures can be easily felt. Ginger is running and jumping OK and does not seem to be in pain when his toes are touched, so the opinion is we will leave well alone. And I have a friend who says she has always wanted a ginger cat and is thinking about taking him, which would be wonderful. She has a dog and an outdoor cat, so we would have to try it and see if it works. But it would be so fantastic for him to have a real forever home away from the fighting that would happen here if I try to introduce him to the others. She would make him an indoor cat because of his paw.
