One of the first things I noticed about Mackerel when we got her home, is that she LOVES sitting on my shoulder! She's still a little wobbly and obviously doesn't feel safe being up there for too long, but the period of time that she wants to stay up there is getting longer and longer as she gets better at it.

(I always stay near the couch, or the dining table, so that she can jump off safely when she wants to.)

Yes, she's beautiful. Absolutely wonderful. My partner and I know how lucky we are.

She has a wonderful temperament. Loves cuddles, (most of the time!) but she's never bad tempered or irritable. She has an amazingly loud purr - we can hear her three or four metres away when she's REALLY going at it, lol.

Hee hee! Gotta love those shoulder kitties! (I have one too - Ginger Cookie would spend most of the day on my shoulder or draped around my neck if she could!)

Mackerel is a beautiful little girl.

Awww, thanks Valan and Rosie. My partner says that I should get her a pirate hat for Hallowe'en, turn the story 'on it's head', y'know? XD
