How do you pick out a special bit of a post to quote in a response, with out the other paragraphs that need not be repeated?

I cant seem to get it right.

BTW,Cat site is the best.

Quote the post as usual, and when the edit box opens for you to compose your message, edit out the parts you don't want. At that point, it's all just text.

If you mess up, you can always go back and start over from the beginning with quoting the post and try again!

Or you can just copy & paste the part you want to quote.

Yes, you can certainly do that, but then you don't get the attribution and the link to the original post. If that doesn't matter, then it's somewhat simpler that way.

Yes, that's true. And sometimes it does matter.

Often times I want to add a quote somewhere in my post but don't want to leave my response to go find it.

If you click the little icon above the text box that is a word balloon, it will insert the tags for a quote. If you just type in or paste whatever you want in there (when you click it you don't have to move the cursor afterwards. it drops it right where you want to place the quoted text), it will work when you post.

As mentioned above it won't reeference the post, or the author, though you can add that manually too, but it's quick and dirty that way. Easy to do.
