Haha, forgive the pun...

You guys can call me Jalindal, I'm from Australia.

I recently adopted my first cat- a four month old, medium haired tabby called Mackerel. My partner and I decided to call her Mackerel because she is apparently a mackerel-striped tabby.

I'm really interested in meeting fellow cat owners and making sure that I have all the backup knowledge and advice to make sure that Mackerel's a healthy, happy cat who's with me for a long long time!

Drop me a line any time!
J.

Oh! I forgot to post pictures! D'oh. XD Well, as a new owner, of course I have LOADS of pictures of my sweetie..

Here's Mack and her glorious whiskers...

Here she is asleep... She loves having her tummy rubbed...

And here she is playing with a toy I set up for her!

And thanks for the welcome, Bella!!

Welcome to you and your lovely girl! And no need to apologize for that pun -- around here that's the correct way to spell that word. Other examples of "local" spellings: "purrsonality", "cattitude"...you get the picture, I'm sure, and will fit in just fine.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! I found another couple of photos.

Here she is on her first night back from the shelter- poor baby was tuckered right out after exploring her new home and fell asleep right in my arms.

Here's Mack wondering what was going on with that flashing thing we kept pointing at her!

And.... here's Mack with her scratching post. NOT using it in the way we'd hoped! lol

Haha, that's EXACTLY it. My partner and I are AMAZED because she manages to jump up there from the floor, like turning on a dime. She's very nimble!

Thanks for the welcomes!

Captiva- she certainly is being spoiled. She got MORE new toys yesterday- my partner and I can't seem to stop buying things for her. XD

Of course the toy she loves most is a cheap little AUD$1 little mouse. XD But that's okay.... cause I've ordered a box of 20 on Ebay... ^^" Silly mite keeps knocking it under the fridge, so we need backups. lol

Hello & welcome to tcs from Sydney. Glad to have you aboard. Mack is gorgeous. I've also hand raised Blossom, she was 2 weeks old when my son found her dumped.
From this-

To this-
I don't think it fits as well as it did when she was a baby.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment - Lily and Tolstoy are Singapuras. They are half-brother and sister; same Dad but different Mum cats.
