Lots of healthy for your little boy Helen

* Helen Text me when they were at the hospital where he's being x-rayed and blood tested. The vet has mentioned PKD which apparantly is common in persians, so he's being tested for that. Lot's of that this isn't the case

We are home with Sev, his red blood count was a little high and his white count was a little low but she said it wasn't a concern, he definitely has some sort of gastro intestinal thing going on. Because his kidney levels were good they ruled out PKD, Thank God. He's on 3 different meds, Clavamox, sicralfate(for stomach) and Pepcid. They took x-rays and found something in his stomach, not sure what it is could be hairball, gas, etc. If it's still there on the x-ray tomorrow then they will do an ultrasound. The gas pattern in his intestines did not show a blockage which we were worried about because Sev likes plastic

In the meantime Sev is on special food for 3 days and he ate it like crazy
He just purred the whole time he was there, they loved him

Thank you all

I know about the plastic thing....
Dexter is a plastic eater too.

It can be an almost impossible challenge to keep all plastic away from them.

Sev is in good hands...
sending vibes for a quick, uncomplicated recovery Helen.

Thank you so much for taking Sev to the vet - You're an awesome mommy. Good to hear that Sev just got some GI tract upsets and nothing major. I hope he will feel better soon, with lots of love and care from you, of course. to Sev ... get well soon, ok!

Aww, poor Sev!

He just needs to put on his smoking jacket, take his meds, and get some rest!

Helen, thinking of you and Sev and hoping all will be well. They do frighten us so often, don't they?
