She has an appointment and 5:30 and I'm scared she is going to claw me! She has never been in a car, or to the vet or anything! I'm hoping they will handle her, although she seems freindly I really really don't trust her!! I was hoping dh would take her because I don't want her mad at me, but he thinks we should both go
send me some friendly kitty & snowwhite healthy vibes

Val- cover the carrier with a dark cloth once you get her inside of it. Also take some vanilla extract and dab a little on her chin and the bridge of her nose- this will cut down the stress smell that vet clinics have and she should be fine. Are the kittens going with her?

Thanks hissy, I think i'm going to bring the kittens in another carrier so they will be with her but she wouldn't be able to hurt them if she flips out.

I think I have a uti, I'm in so much pain right now. I hope it goes away on it's own. hubby might have to take her on his own if I don't feel better

hi! My lovely hubby got sent on a run at work and didn't get back until after 6
so i had no car so we couldn't take her. This having one car thing is really starting to become a problem. I have been watching her all day and she isn't leaking anything from anywhere anymore. She looks pretty clean "down there" her litter box is perfect and she is using it normal, so I don't know what is going on! Infact today she was playing with the toys I put in there! So now I have to make another appointment for her. But so far she is doing good. She actually looks the best I have ever seen her look. Wish me luck on getting another appointment, i'm really thinking about switching to a more avaible office. I'm going to have to have dh take half a day or something.

BAD NEWS: I, ME, VAL aka PRINCESS PURR have a UTI....I am in SO much pain....last night I was telling dh I would much rather be sick then have snowwhite sick and she is looking great today and i'm curled up in a ball drinking gallons of water...So send me some get well vibes
I'm going to try to flush it out with out going to the doc, that normally works 75% of the time for me...I really hate peeing in a cup!

Val, they now sell stuff over the counter to treat the aggravating symptoms of a UTI. You can find it in any major drug store, one brand is Azo-Standard. I have used it, it does work well (and more importantly, FAST!) The other thing is to drink cranberry juice.

I know what you mean about only having one car, it stinks! I am glad Snowwhite seems to be doing better, will keep my fingers crossed that everything is alright.

How are the kittens?

Val, I'm so sorry you couldn't keep the appointment for Snowwhite!!!! I'm also sorry you're not well.

I posted in your other thread... but just in case people read this one and not the other one, it's really important to know that it isn't just cranberry juice that helps adjust your Ph balance to help prevent UTIs. The cranberry juice CANNOT have fructose in it or that offsets any of the benefit of the cranberry juice.

Feel better soon!!! (And see a doctor. Just like kitties, you need antibiotics to kill the infection). There are OTC products that can relieve the pain, but like Sue said, they do work fast.

the kittens and snowwhite are doing great. I keep looking at her trying to figure out what was up yesterday. I changed the bedding to an all white sheet and it spotless! She isn't licking anywhere, using her litter pan, the kittens are all bright eyed and trying to walk around. Stormy and Nimbus are really really doing great, little blizzy I'm kinda worried about, but I guess you always worry about the runt. I'm off to go down some more water and drink some more cranberry juice...It is ashame I can't just eat cranberry sauce...I would enjoy that

Val , I hope you are feeling better. Dont UTIs suck? Last time I had one it felt like a Mack truck was parked on my bladder. But im with you, I try to get over them on my own. I hate taking antibiotics.
