Here by the way is an analysis of the NRA ad by the "Brady Campaign."

Interesting.
You make a good point. They put him out there to speak for them therefore representing their point of view. I see what you mean and agree.

Heck he even went so far as to put out a song : "I am the NRA."

For once it does not have any language in it so I can post the link.

At least the NRA isn't selling it themselves, maybe he got to be too much even for them.

The whisper campaign to distance themselves has already begun I bet.

By the way I think it's funny that Obama is being accused both of being a fascist and a communist. It's tough being in the middle these days.

well if you think about it, obama has a lot in common with old adolf.

Really perhaps you could explain that in more detail, I happen to have read Mein Kampf in German and English as part of an interest in German studies (I lived in Germany for 16 years) and studied Hitler's life and times.

Care to elaborate? I'd live to discuss it with you.

Actually no I don't LOL.
But I'm sure you'll be able to elaborate after your work is done. I'll probably be asleep when you get back so you have plenty of time.

well, they both promised changed, give very nice speechs. got the people really worked up.

both had little to zero experience, for the level they are aiming for

both have a over inflated ego almost to a narcissistic level.
both wrote books on how important they are, obama even wrote 2.
if funny really, you can read Mein Kampf or just pick a page at random and it sound alot like today's Left.

obama has talked about buliding a security froce that is larger then US military, sounds like the SS to me.

both had ties to radical policital elements.

adolf used strong arm methods to get in charge, and obama is now doing the same, just this time they using lawyers to do it.

obama wants to become leader of amerian when in many peoples mind he is not US Citizen, hilter was not german.

both are antisemitic. People can try to hide it all they want, obama is a racist he has made to many statement, not to be.
and finally
adolf had his funny lip fur, and bad comb over,
obama got his big ears and puple lips,

sounds like Reincarnation to me

and some fun reading

The NSDAP was elected in 1933 at a time when Germany was suffering from the consequences of the Treaty of Versailles. Inflation had been rampant and a new currency had been introduced about 10 years before as a measure against it. However the stock market crash of the US was felt in Germany and gave rise to unemployment rates over 30 %. The election immediately followed a fire in the Reichstag which was purported to have been set by communists.

Hitler was a high school drop out.
He also spent time in jail for trying to take over the government by force. One thing he could do was to give a rousing speech.
He was a decorated war veteran from WW1.

Hitler appealed to existing anti-semitism to point a finger of blame on a religious minority and at the same time made Communists (who were gaining influence in parts of Europe) out to be the enemy. The NSDAP also singled out homosexuals as enemies of the pure German people. (sounds more like something we hear from wingnuts in the US). This is what helped them get elected and able to form a coalition.

Once in power, laws were changed ("Patriot Act" oops I meant to say "Gleichschaltung") to give the Hitler the power to rule by decree and suspend civil liberties.

The rest I think you know. I think if Hitler is going to be compared to anyone it is going to be someone more from the Right than from the Left.

so you agree then that obama and adolf have a lot on comon then,

Can't you come up with something more original, Bruce? Däubler-Gmelin used a similar analogy a couple of years ago. Bush Gets Apology For Hitler Remark. Or are you still smarting from that?

no, the truth will do just fine. no need to make up new stuff.

they have many things in common.i have no need to be PC, and could care less about it. if fact that is one of the major things wrong with the country
you can call a evil man evil.

Yes evil, obama is nothing but a empty suit, who has done nothing accept write a couple of books, also how hitler was in jail and wrote his book , obama did his at bali(oh yea that is such a rough place to be stuck at )

i think the fact that obama is doing so well shows how broken this country.
the worse thing a person can do is vote for obama.

i almost hope obama wins , just so people can see how evil this man really is

Oh, Imp, you so completely did NOT support your own argument. Some of it is so generalized, it's like reading a newspaper horoscope that can pertain to anyone.

Your second and third argument could be used against most any contestant on American Idol (With apologies to AI contestants, many of them have seemed like really nice people, just kids with dreams.)

Benjamin Franklin had ties to "radical political elements" - aka the guys who wrote our constitution, who were the radicals of their time.

I can draw parallels between you and me, too. Oooh, we both visit the same message board. Oooh, we probably both have cats. And those are at least accurate parallels (if you have cats). But I doubt we're each other.

Almost forgot - I have big ears.

Can you make any arguments for your candidate that are not hyperbolic and sensationalist about the other guy? I probably can, and he's not even my candidate.

Everyone please take a short walk and think about your next post!

Several posters are beginning to interject negative remarks into their posts that are directed at, or are meant to be descriptive of, other members. Please remember that we are discussing issues and opinions, and not each other's mindset or ideals. Bad feelings and antagonism resulting from personal attacks over politics will last long, long after the elections.

So, everyone, play nice
