A friend shared this with me today. I love a good challenge, and this was one! So I thought I'd share with you guys. I'd love to see what you guys come up with, too, since we don't have an answer key!

The Genius Test

Brain Teaser: It is a challenging, and some of them might be unknown to people the U.S. This test is to gauge your mental flexibility and creativity. Since it has been developed (in 1996), it has been found that few people can solve more than half on the first day. Many reported getting answers long after the test had been set aside, at unexpected moments when their minds were relaxed, and some reported solving it over a period of several days.

Scoring 1 to 5 is Average, 6 to 11 Somewhat Intelligent, 12 to 18 Intelligent, 19+ Genius

Example Question: 16 = O in a P\t\tAnswer: 16 Ounces in a Pound

1)\t26 = L of the A
2)\t7 = D of the W
3)\t1001 = A N
4)\t12 = S of Z
5)\t54 = C in a D (with J)
6)\t9 = P in the S S
7)\t88 = P K
8)\t13 = S on the A F
9)\t32 = D at which W F
10)\t18 = H on a G C
11)\t90 = D in R A
12)\t8 = S on a S S
13)\t3 = B M (S H T R)
14)\t4 = Q in a G
15)\t24 = H in a D
16)\t1 = W on a U
17)\t5 = D in a Z C
18)\t57 = H V
19)\t11 = P on a F B T
20)\t1000 = W that a P is W

# 6 is wrong. There are only eight, not nine.
#'s 13 and 26 = LOL

I got 22 of them, the others will probably come to me later. Once you pick up the pattern and that it's mostly commonly known stuff it's easy to figure them out.

I won't add any answers so as not to give them away to other people - though I gave away #6 to anyone with common sense.

Edit: Correction, make that 23. I got #23 while reading them out loud to DH.

^And spoiled it for anyone else that happens to look at your post.

Hm, unicycle. Never would have guessed anything to do with a unicycle.

I always knew you were a genius! As for #6, yeah, I thought about changing it. This is showing it's age!

Oh, that's different than what we got! I think yours is right!

As for an answer key, I looked, but didn't see all of these. I did try to get them all before I "cheated", though!
I worked with my friend, and we got all but two with out googling it!

Of course, one was wrong, but still, that's only missing 3!

Some of these make no sense to me. Like the trombone thing? What is that from?

I got quite a few of them, but there are some that after the answers were posted, I still don't know what it means. I guess I've never seen/read/heard of/whatever those particular things.

^I've still never heard of that.

I don't know if I would be considered a genesis, I've never taken an actual IQ test and generally I am quite awful at all things math related. I rely heavily on the iN of my INTJ personality to guess at stuff.
(if you don't know what I'm talking about search on here for a past thread I made - personality test or look up myer-briggs type indicator) Online IQ tests have to be wrong as I usually test in the 140s.

Here's another similar test for anyone who likes this sort of stuff. http://www.genius-test.com/?email=&part=1

76 trombones led the big parade
with 110 cornets close at hand
they were followed by rows & rows
of the finest virtuosos
the cream of every famous band...
