Melamine has been found in White Rabbit Candy. I've never had any, but I thought I would warn you guys. They say they have pulled all of it from the shelves already. Like the baby formula, this product is found in Asian grocery stores.

I wish there was a way that we could keep Chinese goods out of our country, but I doubt that would ever happen since they produce so much.

Hey, I also heard today to check Snickers, M&Ms and Oreo's to make sure they were made locally and not in another country because they may be tainted too.

Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but here is another.

Are they trying to poison us all to death so they can spread out?

Don't think I've ever seen it.

But this should sure put the fear of God in a lot of food companies.

I don't know if you've noticed it, but very little in the way of food in the U.S. is labeled as to country of origin.

Hershey's USED to say "Made in Hershey PA", but since they recently moved their manufacturing plant to China I doubt it says that anymore, but I haven't checked.

I think it may just best to avoid Chinese food products and toys.

I'd say. Who knows where the known risks are going to show up next -- never mind what new risks may surface

Just looked at our Hershey bars (for smores) and the package does read "manufactured by Hershey, Pennsylvania" - so its still made in USA. They still have their plant in PA - maybe opened another in China, but he candy is still made here.

I've not seen it online yet, but I just heard on the radio that Lipton is now recalling a brand of their tea that is sold primarily in Asia, for melamine contamination.

I'm off to hunt for a link.

Back:
Here is the article for Lipton

And here is another brand recalled 4 days ago I'd not even heard about.
