Have you had her in to the vet to see if there is a medical reason for this? Anytime you have a concern, it is always best to let a vet assess the situation first. We are happy to help with advice and encouragement when giving treatments or medications, but we cannot diagnose as we are not vets. Even if we ~were~ vets, we can't diagnose without seeing the kitten.

My suggestion to you is to make an appointment with the vet and have him/her take a look.

Do you know if she's scratching it? I have a couple of cats that are a bit bare there, just naturally, though. How old and what color is she?

The fur is naturally thin in that area between the ears and the eyes, so that may be all you're seeing.

I agree - and my black cat has the most noticible lack of hair there of all my cats, so that's why I asked about the color...

Not paranoid, just concerned which is just fine.

mrblanche said the first thing that popped into my mind, the hair above and behind the eyes to the ears is REALLY thin. but I don't think you notice it as much on full grown cats.
