Baby chinnies are a week old!

Wow, they grow so fast! I did offer one to the breeder so she said yes. She wasn't going to ask for one, because it wasn't part of the deal, but I would have felt really bad if I had sold these guys (they're worth $150 each), after paying only $20 for the parents. She is also making me a trade for the other one. I was going to keep one (if they turned out to be boys) to pair with my really nice standard female. But they are both females, so I'm giving them both to be breeder in exchange for a mosaic male. The boy I'm getting is super cute and his parents are excellent quality. I'm going to have three breeding pairs when I'm finished getting new chins and I'm really happy with the quality of these chinchillas! Not your average pet store chins.

He's not as dark of a mosaic as the other two, but he's technically the same color as the darker of the girls (white mosaic). His mom is tecnically the same color as the beige-ish girl (the one climbing on my hand), which would be Pink white. It's all in the patern of white and color.

Here he is (with mommy standing gaurd), he's just 3 weeks old in the picture:

Ohhhhh....I should never have looked- now I NEEEEEEEEEED a Chinchilla!!!!
They are SO cute!!!

My hubby is going to ban me from this place soon- it somehow leads to bringing home more furkids
