Getting too attached!

Uh oh...I am getting too attached to my 7 foster kittens! Help!
I rescued these feral babies at about 3-4 weeks old and they're about 9 weeks so I am trying to find homes for them, but I don't want to part with them!


Especially these three:







The last kitten is also the smallest one so he can't get neutered yet. He is either a runt or may be younger than most of the others (the kitten in the second pic is also small.) He is the one who always cuddles up and falls asleep on my lap when I'm on the computer.

I can see why you are getting too attached to them. All lovely kitties. That is one reason why I don't see myself fostering (yet) because of this very issue. I tend to get very emotional around small animals, esp. those that I nursed back to health. Sending them away is really like parting with your own flesh and blood. I am sorry I can't offer much help because I would be in the same predicament as yourself.

You give them up because if you don't, there will be others who might need your help & you won't be able to give it.

You give them up because there are homes that aren't complete without them.

It's never easy, but no one ever said it was.

I have the same problem! Thing about where I live, there are NOT enough homes for the kittens. We are extremely overpopulated. There is no one I know who doesn't have ATLEAST 2 cats (people I know involved in rescue over here all have over 20.). Its hard to find homes for kittens here..so when I get attached, I keep them. Of course, I did have 15 foster kittens this summer, and we only kept 6..so I think thats good for us lol.

Well one of the kittens got adopted tonight! Pumpkin, brown tabby, named because she has bright orange eyes (not between-colors like most kittens eyes). I miss her already...
