I'm crying like she was one of my own

I am SO happy for our Bea. I really hope this works out for her. Did you tell them we want updates? and pictures? After all this time, we need to know how our girl is doing in the future!

I put off reading this thread all morning.
I wanted to know what happened but part of my was scared to look, and I'm glad I'm not the only one sitting here with tears in my eyes.

Nat, you really did save Bea's life you never gave up on her.
No matter what issues she had you stuck right there with her...and to all of the people who helped with her surgery bless your hearts too.

I'm so very happy for Bea, that beautiful girl has a second chance and her new parents sound like God himself sent them to her.

I'll miss seeing your pictures Bea, but I'm so thrilled that you finally found your forever home

These people....oh my god! I talked to them about Bea's issues Sat. They thought over the weekened, deciced if "it was meant to BEA" then she'd be their one & only.
They met her - and we all knew it was going to happen. They had already moved a litterpan upstairs, given that I had said she had issues walking up/down stairs. They are going to take her to the vet to have the vet fit her with a harness so she can go for walks if she wishes. She has an ottoman that leads up to a chair up to 2 different windows. She can sit on the backs of the chairs to look out the window. The wet food was no issue, either! The litterpans they had are the "right" ones for Bea, and they used non-scoopable litter for the past cat, no biggie.

I told them if it doesn't work out, let me know, I want her back. She told me I was never getting THEIR cat back.

I called one of the shelter gals who wasn't there tonight....she kept saying "oh my god....you saved that cat's life. She'd be dead if you weren't such a pain in the
about this kinda stuff. You saved that cat's life."

And I couldn't have done it without the donations to cover her surgery. You know who you are....
After to read the whole thread dear Nat, I had to go at the bathroom to clean my tears!...

Thanks to God...I really going to miss to her my friend...
....
Please tell to her new "parents" about TCS to try to be in touch of BEA!,...

GOD BLESS you heart Natalie!

They don't have internet at home, but the lady has e-mail at work. I told her to please e-mail me updates. I probably won't hear much, but no news is good news. They'd let me know if her health changed at all. I'm curious what their vet says about the renal failure, they worship her....and she has a completely different outlook on things than the vet I use. She only euthanizes when absolutely necessary...and will go to extreme lengths to save an animal, so I know Bea will be extremely well cared for in the vet dept!

I feel bad, because I've never had such an easy time letting a foster go. Partially because in 9 months I never truly got that attached to her (hard to when she bit me multiple times a day
), not in the way I did PJ & Punky, or Damita & Dorian. But also because I couldn't ask for a better home. This was the home we were waiting for.

And oh.....to have peace in the house again! It's blissful! Dorian is asleep in the window, and has quit crying for the first time in months. Molly is asleep in Bea's other cat bed....one she could never sleep in when "The Beast" was here.
And Ophelia is chilled, knowing that her territory is back to being hers.

Thank you all for the vibes, for being my sounding board, the ones I turned to for advice....and for helping me financially. When I got Bea, I had hit hard times & couldn't afford to help her medically, as "small" as the cost was for her surgery.

Nat, I don't think you have anything to feel bad about. This has been an extremely trying nine months for you and your critters, yet you hung in there with Miss Bea, until you DID find the right home. Your perseverance paid off. That there should be a huge sense of relief is absolutely no surprise. Give yourself some credit.

OH Natalie, I'm sooooo glad, happy, etc. that Bea finally will have some happiness for the remaining time she might have.

I really wish you could get up to the Twin Cities to one of the shows so I could get to meet you in person and give you the biggest hug from ALL of TCS family.
You are a very special person

Nat, you have nothing to feel bad about, you went so much further than most people would to give this little girl a chance, and the reason you dont feel bad is because it is perfect for her, and the best thing for her, so you feel happy. Some fosters dont get as deeply under your skin as others, but what matters most is you still gave her so much love and patience.

Got an update on her!

They started off with thanking me a thousand times!
She pushes open the bathroom door to see what's "shakin". She's right there to greet them in the AM when the alarm goes off. She has no farm kitties outside her windows there taunting her, so she just settles for chillin on the back of the chair watching the traffic go by.

I think I'm gonna
now.
