Just an update on the kittens with eye issues in our colony. I was able to get in touch with a woman from a rescue group who told me to use Lysine, Echinacea and Vitamin C supplements in the cats/kittens food. I also ordered the Teramycin ointment for the babies eyes (which she also said to use). Star's 2 sisters also seem to be getting a little twinge of something going on with their eyes (not as severe though). Since each family eats out of the same dish, they are all being treated.

Yesterday, before I fed them, little Star's eyes were sealed shut. We wiped them clean for her (for the 2nd time that day) and then I fed her and the others (adding the supplements). Today they had their second dose of the supplements and little Star walked up with her eyes OPEN
They are still somewhat weepy, but we should have the ointment in another day or two.

We are going to keep the supplements going forward and will use the eye ointment for 7 days. If the eyes are not completely cleared up, we are taking them to the vet to see what the trouble is. I do feel good about the fact that Star is showing major improvement after just the first dose
The day I posted my last thread, the poor baby was walking around with her eyes sealed shut. It just broke my heart to see.

I think these babies are gonna be just fine and I couldn't be happier

Thank you for all the helpful advice. It's nice to know that there are so many people that truly care about the health and welfare of my little colony.

You are truly a gift to these little kitties. A little TLC goes a long way for those forgotten souls.
