And the bike...

It was only a week or so ago that I had to cut the back of the couch open because Gus was stuck inside, but today DH came home to find the front tire on his beloved [new] road bike torn up. Someone clawed the tire off the rim and shredded the tube. I'm not sure what to do with these monsters anymore. Stinkers.

Was the tire fully inflated? Road bike tires are typically inflated to >100 lbs. I'd have thought puncturing that with a claw or tooth would make a noise pretty scary to a cat.
