After 5 1/2 months of battle, we are down to just two weeks. The jackpot has increased again and is now 139,100 points.

Marianjela continued her current win streak using the word have. Yam102284 used know and Catkiki tightened things up by using the word possible. GoldyCat was the first to use two. Not used was perfect, it was used but did not score points.

Today's KatKwiz was about funny cat pictures.

Have you ever posted any funny pictures of your cats on TCS? If so, about how many would you guess, and if not, why not? Have you ever entered any of the TCS photo contests featuring cats? Have you looked through these funny cat pictures before? OK, we are just trying to use the secret word here, so do you feel your pictures or captions are better than the ones posted?

Wow! I get so surprised when I come on here and see no one had answered yet. Especially an hour or two later. Anyway, thanks for the points again Lee.

I dont know if I've ever posted any funny pic on TCS, well I never posted one intentionally as a funny pic, but I have posted pics that I thought were funny or cute. Roly has this habit of loving to get on my lap just when I open the laptop. And he loves to lay on the keyboard. Which is annoying, but too cute. At that point I usually tease him with the cursor on the screen.

I dont know if I can even guess how many pics I've posted on this site, let alone remember how many funny pics. I have posted a lot of pics in the kitten forum. I know I have posted a few over for the calendar contest. I'm trying to recall what the category was when the kitty with a lizard on it's lip won... LOL that was funny. I'm not feeling good today, so I dont suppose I will be looking anything up either.

Ah ha, I guess I answered the third question unintentionally. I have entered a picture in the photo contests. I totally did not expect to win because I dont have as good of a camera as some of the members. I mean like in the eye contest. WOW those were some extraordinary pictures! And of course I have looked through the pictures before. Both the funny pictures posted in the Cat Snips section written by TheCatSite.com, and I love to read the captions created by our members. I remember, when I first joined the list 3 years ago, when the Caption This sub-forum was still active. I never submitted a picture to it, but I enjoyed participating in writing the captions And even though it isnt exactly active anymore, it is fun to go in there every now and again to just read some of the funny remarks. I also make sure I look at all the photos that are entered in the picture contests that are going on for the calendar. I look at them in the 'Fur Pictures and Videos Only!' section and also see them from the Cat Blog when my laptop is stubborn and wont let me view them from the Lounge.

And no, I've never thought my pictures were better than the ones posted already. Obviously or else maybe I would've shared more. We have some very talented people here on TCS, with cameras that make mine pale in comparison. That's probably why I dont enter as many contests. But, yes, maybe on a few occasions I think I could've come up with a more clever caption if I had been around when it was going on. But then there are times I've read the captions and I am amazed at how clever the caption was! I imagine since we have such a well-rounded group of users we are lucky that we can share each others strengths!

Guess that's it for today. Hopefully tomorrow my head will be out of this fog and I can tap out a better response

I agree. It really was a blast. I never posted any pics myself, but I commented on several. I really enjoyed it.

Maybe we could do an unofficial "Caption This". In that anyone can post pics and we just caption whatever picture suits our fancy at the time. I dont think we have to vote on which is the best caption, although I suppose we still could. But half the fun was just seeing the pictures with the clever captions!

I haven't posted any funny pics of my girls. While they have looked goofy at times, I have never had my camera ready and by the time I got my camera turned on, they moved. I have entered pics of my girls but since my camera isn't the best, they have never made the cut. I haven't checked out the the Kwiz today since it has been a madhouse as usual. I will check them out though. I have seen a lot of hilarious pics of cats on the web though. They always make me smile. Sometimes I feel that the caption fits but other times I just don't understand it. Hopefully I have posted a secret word here, but I am just sooo tired right now, I just can't think very well.

I take a lot of pictures of my cats, but as Catkiki said, the best ones are the ones that got away. I joined TCS at the end of July and entered the August photo contest. Don't have any idea if I won anything because that one hasn't been posted for voting yet. I've also posted several in the current contest, which is for funny pictures. Still trying to decide which one to make my official entry. I do think most of my pictures are better than a lot of the others that are posted, but there are always at least one or two that top mine. I'm not very good with captions, though. That means other peoples' captions are nearly always going to be better than mine.

Don't know if I hit all the questions this time, but I'm too tired to go back and look.

Wow, only two weeks! Time sure flies!

Before the contest, not sure if I'd posted "funny" pictures or not. Guess that is a matter of opinion! I've posted some that I thought were silly. Including the one I entered in to the contest! Since the contest, yes, I've posted a few! Posted a thread asking for opinions, in which I had about 5 pictures. Not that all were considered funny, though! Before the contest, I've had maybe 10 or so that some people might consider funny.

So yes, I have entered in the contest! I entered in the Cat Days of Summer contest. And Evie made it to the finals!! She came in a close fourth, I was so proud of my girl! If I'd had a good camera, she may have made it. Oh well!

Then I entered in the cuddle contest, but that was just for the fun of entering, I knew it wasn't a very cuddly picture. I also entered in the Helping Paw contest, which is a funny picture, but isn't one of the best. I've seen the competition, and I don't expect to make the finals! Though that one was a little better than the cuddle one! And now I've entered in the latest contest, and this one actually is an appropriate entry. So, I may make it to the finals. Don't expect to, though, everyone has such great pictures!

I have looked through some of the funny pictures. Not sure which you meant, though. I've been watching the contest thread, so have seen all up to yesterday. Had to do the KatKwery before heading over to Cat Pics! And I did look at the link from the KatKwiz.

Oops, think I've already answered this one! No, I don't think mine is better than those posted. I don't really have a caption for mine, so can't compare that. Though I don't think it's better, I must say that the picture of Cronos I entered is certainly a classic!

Let's see if I got any secret words this time! I think I'm trying to set a record for the most randomly used words. Never, better, wild... All those I used in ways that were kind of strange!

Well, after a long period of being MIA, I thought I'd return to participate in today's KatKwery, even though I probably won't get any secret words 'cause I've come along so late for this one!

I can only think of one funny photo I've posted on TCS, and it was of Max as a little kitten sleeping on my lap belly up. It was just too precious and funny, so I had to share it in one of the "Bellies up" threads. I don't have alot of silly photos of my kitties yet, although I'm sure I will get more as they grow older. They do a ton of hilarious things, but I can't possibly catch them on camera because they happen too fast! I had no idea that September's contest was of funny pics, but now that I know, I'm going to head over and enter one right away! I love looking at funny cat pictures, and sometimes I even go to the lolcats website and have a chuckle over all the funny cats and captions. I have never felt very confident in captioning pictures...I always figure other people can come up with much more witty and humorous captions than I can...but for my own pictures, of course, I really do prefer my own captions since I know my kitties the best!

There were still three words left to be used and for that matter, there still are three words left. Anybody that can sneak their answer in before I post today's KatKwery still wins. But, am I getting ready to do that right now or many hours from now?
