My co-worker is trying to find a good home for this lovable little guy before it gets cold. She can't take him - she has 4 of her own, two with health issues so she can't afford another one.

Black Bear is his name. He has a "home" but it's not much of one. The owner didn't even care when another neighbor tried to bring him inside and keep him. He lives in a townhome complex.

A little background on Black Bear. He's a total luvbug. Loves to be petted and held and purrs like there's no tomorrow. He's about 7-8 months old now.

When the people brought him home as a kitten, there was just one to two people living in this 2-bedroom townhome. Now there is another cat, a yapper dog (a Yorkie maybe?) and SEVEN people living there. He also hasn't been neutered. Black Bear started spraying when the dog arrived (no introductions, just thrown together). So he was tossed outside in this townhome complex that is surrounded by very busy streets, and is close to open space so there are raccoons, foxes and coyotes in the area. This is NOT a safe place for a little kitty! Not to mention, his "owners" kept a bowl on their front porch but it never had any food or water in it.

Unfortunately, it isn't working out with the neighbor who has 2 cats already. She doesn't know how to do proper introductions, and won't listen to my co-worker on gradual intros.

Kim is very concerned about this little guy. From what she can tell, he seems to want to be social with other cats (hers, at least, through the screen door), but may need some behavioral work.

My co-worker jumped the gun a little bit.

The neighbor who is trying to adopt him and bring him inside is trying to transition him to being an indoor cat, and he's not making it easy! She is bringing him in at night, and he sleeps with her on her bed. Aaaawwww! But he has also destroyed all of her curtains trying to get outside.
So for now she's letting him out during the day, and she's hoping that once the weather gets colder he won't want to go out as much and she can make him into an indoor only cat.
