Has anyone tried Soft Claws just for the back claws?

I'm really starting to consider it for Tomas, maybe Sho, too.

Tomas just had his claws trimmed two days ago, but the problem is that some of my skin tears fairly easy. I currently have 6 large welts/scratches on my right thigh. He's done this before. (for some reason he can't figure out that I'm not a launching surface for him) He's good with his front ones, and has never scratched me with them - so they could stay uncovered.

So, has anyone used them just for the back claws? And is there any way to get those claws shorter? Even after several years of trimming, Sho's still have rather long quicks.

I haven't used them on the back, but they sure help on the front. Unfortunately Lola likes to pull them off as soon as possible. A couple have stayed on for weeks, but she usually gets 4 off each paw in a few days.

Both of the boys are great with their front claws. But DH and I have both been scratched by the back. I looked at my leg this morning - not only did Tomas scratch me, he left bruises!

You can try. But the back nails are straighter. Don't the SoftPaw caps curve more? Or do they come in the shape of back and front claws? I've never used them - I just clip

I used them on Morgan on the back claws once (we were taking her to Mikes sisters for the weekend and her cat was declawed). They fell off quite quickly to be honest but they helped for the weekend, maybe stayed on 4 days! She also didn't like them on her back claws!

They are pretty curved--like the front claws.

Honestly I don't know if I'm going to buy the next size up. Lola seems to enjoy pulling them off. We only have a couple weeks til we finally own our own house anyway.
