I did, some years ago. I have an acquaintance who is making a claim about food preparation systems there, and I think he's wrong. I just want some confirmation.

The stuff they serve at McDonald's is considered food? Amazing!

Our argument is over eggs. When I worked there and did breakfast, I cooked 130 dozen eggs every morning. My friend swears they don't use fresh eggs any more, but everything I can find says they do.

And yes, I got good at the two-handed egg breaking.

I think most of that (eggs) is pre-packaged now and shipped. They just warm it up in the micro before serving. I don't think they cook the actual eggs on the grill anymore.

Oddly enough, as recently as this January, when Starbucks admitted they used pre-cooked eggs, McDonald's said they didn't.

Guess I need to stop by one in the morning and take photos!

Don't know whether it is running in the states but here in Canada there is a commercial for McDonalds that airs quite frequently that states they use only fresh eggs for there egg McMuffins..They actually show the line people cooking them. Now if they are advertising using fresh eggs, when they're not couldn't they get into a bit of trouble over that..false advertising and all..

The eggs that are used at the mcdonalds here are the ones that are pre-prepared they are the already mixed yolk that you get in the cartons I think they are called Better than eggs or something to the effect of that. My friend is the manager there.

The Egg McMuffin eggs are cooked in a way that is half frying and half steaming. It takes a special tool that I've never seen anywhere else. and, since you have to be able to see the yolk, it can't be pre-prepared.

Nope. Never worked for them. I did apply but was told I was "over qualified"


Back then we had 2 minimum wage rates. One for under 18 and one for over 18. I was over 18. So I suspect they didn't want to pay the higher wage.

Also by the time I had applied I had already managed a lounge and was relief manager for a restaurant.

So maybe I was over qualified in that regard, but I needed a job!!

I would think they would use that stuff that subway uses with it being in a carton and you warm it in the microwave but as someone mentioned there is that commercial now that says they use real eggs so i dunno

ours here are pre-prepared on our egg McMuffins they dont have yolks. Its kind of wierd but I ate one this morning and looked at it just because of what you said

i am thinking after reading these posts, it depends on what mcd you stop at, and what you order.

I had egg muffin thing the other day, i saw a a whole skid full of eggs, in fact mine even had a little egg shell in it.
