OK - I am having to not only deal with a tree-damaged home, but I paid all kinds of good money for new gutters and downspouts... and exterior paint.
We had lots of heavy rain... I'm sitting here at the PC and I look out the window to see a gushing waterfall rolling off of the roof. The water is SKIPPING right off the tops of the new gutters. They have leaf guards on them... and obviously it's not working. Soooooooooo---- a place a phone call to the contractor and tell him AAAALLLLLL about it. I walked the property this morning and I see problems now with the paint job, too.
Why can't people do a good job the first time? Makes me crazy! So I am going to have to get the paint and gutter contractor to make good. You know, they wouldn't have to come back if they had taken just a leeeettttle more time with the prep.
My problems, though, are miniscule compared to those folks in water-logged TX and LA. Best wishes to those who have been ravaged by Ike.
