I have two cats. They are about 6 months old now. I keep saying 8 months but I just reviewed it and it's 6.

They're grown up pretty much, and they don't play like they use to. up until last week they had full run of the house. But I took in a foster cat that has now had her litter. 7 kittens.

I HATE keeping her locked in my bedroom and I'll be honest the smell isn't great either. Even though i clean her litter 3 times a day. She scrambles for the door when I come in sometimes.

The other cats sit at the door confused but don't do anything. When my little boy saw her up close he hissed, but was more scared than agressive.

Is it a bad idea to introduce the foster to my cats so she can get some time out of the room? If so, does it put her kittens in danger?

If it's OK to do this what's the best practice for doing so? a little at a time?

I hate to think that those kittens are going to start getting rowdy and be cooped up in my room!

Yes, keep them separated! Kittens are very susceptible to diseases. I highly recommend that you wash your hands before and after visiting the new foster cat and kittens and that you even wear different clothes in her room.
