Our backyards are next to each other, and he is always cutting my trees (they might extend two feet above his yard) he sprays poison on my vines, he stands on his deck without a shirt, big fat white doughboy. But now the latest is he has an animal trap in his yard. I have been wondering where the rabbits that live in my yard have been. Well now I have a pretty good idea. You know if people don't want nature around them why don't they go live on a slab of cement.
He used to shoot squirrels from his deck with a bb gun until I reported him to the police. I guess now he just traps them, and drowns them. I know he is not relocating them, he is not that kind of guy. He has no clue of being "green" enjoying nature or anything. Y%#^&&
Thanks for letting me share.

Sounds like a real nice guy. Do you have any proof of what he's doing with/to whatever he's trapping? If so, you could probably report him to your local animal warden or humane society.
People like your neighbor are one of the reasons I think privacy fencing is the greatest invention known to man. Our neighbors are ok, but just 2 or 3 sections of 6 foot hgh fence give you that little extra "buffer zone".

I do have him sufficiently cut off with trellis and vines. I can look into his yard though, when I am back in my "brier patch" where the rabbits live, and that is when I saw the traps. Unfortunately, I cannot build a fence high enough to obscure the view of him on his deck, and apparently he likes the view because he keeps cutting back the branches on my trees that would prevent me from seeing him. creep

I have a neighbour who WASHES THE SIDEWALK infront of his house EVERYDAY. Sometimes TWICE A DAY, even when it rains! I want to throttle him. It is SUCH A WASTE. I don't understand it at all! My neighbour had a bird feeder and he called the By-law people on her because some pigeons were eating out of it and they made her take it down!!! It's just infuriating. Oh, and guess what, the pigeons are still around, always were and always will be,.

^Sounds like someone with a form of OCD. Maybe things being dirty bothers him or the thought of germs. I don't see how it's anyone's business whether someone washes their sidewalk, though..

My neighbors are going to be my in-laws
I'm already pestering Rob for an 8 ft privacy fence ALL the way around the property (he wants to put one up between us and the left hand neighbors and us and the right hand neighbors, but not behind the house, where his parents are).

Gotta love neighbors. We had some nutty ones when we lived in NJ.

Check with your local animal control. It might be illegal to trap animals. In some areas it is, even cats. See if you can't report the idiot for illegal trapping.

Most suburban areas have high skunk populations. I say, hope he catches a skunk in that trap.

I'm happy not to have close neighbors. Sometimes you get a good one, but since you don't get to pick them, most of the time they'll be people you don't care for or at least have nothing in common with.
Lucky for us we have at least 2 acres between us and the nearest neighbor, that way we don't get on their nerves and they don't get on ours.
I can only imagine how annoyed most people would get if they could hear our girls bellowing in a raging heat at 2 AM.

I can hear the nearest farmers cow mooing most mornings, but it doesn't bother me, she doesn't do it at night.

Ugh, that would be brutal!

I used to have a guy living below me that blasted heavy metal music all day and night long.

Maybe something will happen to those traps one night...I'm not saying how, but things go missing. It happens every day.

You might want to check out with the DNR to see what regulations are about "wild animals" on your property. I know in Wisconsin removing squirrels, rabbits, woodchucks etc is not illegal. That being said if they are trapped and transported some of them well that may not be legal. Perhaps there is an animal control person to speak with??
Also it would be a shame if those traps disappeared in the middle of the night.

For the trees once again I know if you tree/shrub overhangs onto your neighbor's property they can chop it back. But say for instance its an Oak tree and he chops it back in July, Oak Wilt could infect your tree and kill it. Depends on the tree species.

Good luck I know how it is living near someone who eradicates (well use to! I stopped that) every animal who steps onto his property.

Probably at work :(
All my neighbors in my apartment building are great! Except the one right next to me. I swear she pulls her door open as far as she can and and slams it with the might of Atlas!!! I am scared to hand any pictures on that wall for fear that she'll knock them down. And she's always stomping down our porch in high heels blabbing on the cell phone! I've heard her on it as early as 6 in the am!

If only. I have so efficiently baracaded the space between us, that I can't reach into his yard to get them.

He does sound like a creep - and an unhappy one... so miserable that he's taking out on small, helpless creatures. Ugh!

At least none of you have neighbors that fight a lot and have had the police and sheriff out countless times...

Just the enormous waste of water. I hate waste, especially water.

I somewhat understand the cutting the trees down if it was only the branches that were on his side however if they werenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t bothering anything it is kind of rude and he could have just trimmed them up a little, the vines well if they were on the fence that divides your yards I can also see that since vines take over everything like other plants and can ruin things but still a little inconsiderate and well the trapping animals and drowning them that is just plain rude and animal cruelty and he should pay for that. My grandma use to do that to squirrels when they got to her bird seed. She even tried to drown a frog once (Don't ask me why) of course it wouldn't die. My dad use to shoot cats and squirrels with a sling shot when they got to the birds or the seed. What a JERK. I guess the apple doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t fall far from the tree. I don't talk to him anymore for several reasons including this on.
