Dottie said that if someone called the shelter and wanted to adopt Ella, we'd take her back, but there is no way she is taking her back and putting her in a cage again. She said this under undue influence, however; Ella was on her lap, purring at the time.

She said it might be time to make her "an honest woman." Ella, not Dottie.

Awwww.... a trio of tabbies, if I am not mistaken... Ella is a brown striper, right? Anyway, I understand. If I were in that situation, I don't think I could take her back either.

Yes, she's a very dark brown tabby, with very white accents.

Sterling is a gray or silver tabby.

Punkin is an orange tabby, with fairly indistinct markings.

No wonder you are keeping her! In that photo it looks like she is saying
"Just try and get me in the carrier to take me back!"

I thought it looked like she was saying, "You want me to get in what? And go where? And live in a little cage again? Pfffffft!"

Actually, all she was doing was avoiding the flash.

It even looks like she is baring her claws.
She sure is cute though...I love the name too.

She has "softpaws" on, in an effort to lessen any damage during the introduction phase. They're starting to come off, and I will only keep on the dewclaws, trying to protect her nose.

Ella Fitzgerald, maybe?

She looks like she's got a little sass to her. No wonder you don't want to take her back. I love a sassy cat!

Oh this is funny

Now that Ella may be staying permanently, we can look forward to some shots of this regal lady
